About 2SIX Partners
What is 2SIX Partners?
2SIX Partners is a multi-family office based in Denver, Colorado. It establishes a dedicated single family office for each family, with the family's own entity, board, and governance charter, and runs it on a shared platform for reporting, coordination, and infrastructure.
What is the difference between a single family office and a multi-family office?
A single family office serves one family and is owned and staffed by that family, giving full control at a high fixed cost. A multi-family office serves several families from shared staff and systems, lowering cost but usually reducing control. 2SIX Partners combines a family-owned office with shared infrastructure.
Who is 2SIX Partners for?
Families whose wealth and structure have outgrown a single advisor: several entities and trusts, multiple advisors with no one coordinating them, and a next generation that needs preparation. Engagements are by invitation, and fit matters as much as size.
Does 2SIX Partners replace our attorney, CPA, or investment managers?
No. Existing advisors and custodians generally stay in place. 2SIX Partners is the coordination and oversight layer above them.
Is 2SIX Partners a registered investment adviser?
No. 2SIX Partners does not provide investment advice. Investment services, including outsourced chief investment officer services, are provided by WealthEQ, LLC, a Colorado-registered investment adviser, under a separate agreement.
How are WealthEQ and 2SIX Partners related?
They are separate entities. Mike Corbett is the founder and principal of WealthEQ and a co-founder of 2SIX Partners. Families that want investment services engage WealthEQ directly under its own advisory agreement and Form ADV.
What governance structures do families get?
A governance architecture with three parts: a family office board, a family council (we recommend co-leadership by a family principal and a 2SIX partner), and a trust structure (we recommend a co-trustee arrangement where trust terms allow). The structure is scaled to each family.
What is the Family Capital Framework?
A structured family bank. It replaces ad-hoc gifting with a documented process for funding education, homes, ventures, and opportunities across three tiers: Foundational, Development, and Opportunity capital. Each family keeps its own balance sheet and rules; nothing is pooled.
How are 2SIX Partners fees structured?
A fixed annual multi-family office retainer covering governance, oversight, trustee and director roles, advisor coordination, and next-generation programming, plus modular fees only for the services a family uses. Pricing is set by the complexity of the family's structure.
Do families have to share information with other families on the platform?
No. Each family office is private by default. Shared insights are anonymized and optional, with no expectation of meetings, collaboration, or deal participation.
